The Parent and Family Council (P/FC) re-launched in 2005 to support the continued growth of DDS and provide a communication forum for parents, families and staff. To meet theseobjectives, the P/FC hosts general meetings and teacher appreciation lunches, organizes fundraisers, and provides regular communication with parents and families via email blasts, newsletter items and special memorandums. The P/FC also partners with Dallas Services for an annual fundraiser event, Fall Fest which includes a silent auction, wine and hors d' oeuvres.

We also liaison with the Dallas Services Board. The P/FC Vice President serves as our official voting representative on this board. Membership is automatic upon enrollment of your child or children into Dallas Day School. In mid-2007, parents voted to assess an annual fee per family to cover the cost of basic teacher appreciation functions–monthly lunches, annual holiday gift, and annual teacher appreciation week. We welcome your involvement and appreciate your support.

P/FC activities include:
Teacher appreciation lunches; classrooms rotate hosting duties monthly
Quarterly general meetings and monthly executive committee meetings
Annual holiday teacher appreciation gifts
Ongoing fundraisers throughout the year
Work with DDS staff on marketing strategy and tactics
